Mike Tomlin's press conference in advance of Cleveland Week went pretty much per the norm,

right up until he offered one, I thought, seriously striking response in regard to a fairly

simple question.

That being, since you did well against Minnesota,

with the heavier sets and not as many tight ends on the field, was that something specific to the

Vikings? This was his response. We have a certain personality, particularly when we play four,

three teams. I haven't been bashful about that. That's why we drafted Darnell, Washington.

You can't play four or three teams with 250-pound tight ends. You can't. The weight classes

in combat sport for a reason. And so when the edge people are 300 pounds,

you better have somebody out there that looks like that animal.

And so that was our intentions in Minnesota.
