Omar Khan spoke on straight-up football matters yesterday for the first time in months, really.

This was at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis,

and he arrived at his meeting with reporters, including Chris Halleck of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports,

so prepared for the Aaron Rogers questions that he brought it up himself before the first question.

So, you know, nothing nothing nothing new to add uh you

know i've been in communication with aaron i think mike has i know mike has also uh you know we've got

good communication honest communication uh but no no no uh nothing new to report there so happy to take any

questions you have a deadline line uh no deadline all i'll tell you guys is I don't foresee this going like it

did last year so is it important to have a decision before free agency begins or

during free agency I mean I don't really want to say it it has to be done by then

you know I would like to have an idea but you know it's just just isn't going to go like it did last year. Omar, would his decision affect anything you do in the draft, what you hope to do or tend to do? You know, I think certainly not just his decision, but just how the offseason progresses and, you know, who we're able to sign, who we're going to acquire, that'll

have an effect. There's a lot, a lot of time between now and April.

Omar, is it your guy's desire to have him be the starting quarterback this year?

You know, I think he, we've had a conversation and we've expressed.

It was a really good experience with Aaron and, you know, that option's still out there.
