We go back to Sunday evening, okay, 24-hour span.

New strength coordinator, strength and conditioning coordinator, Mark Lovat, is in. He spent some time

under Mike McCarthy and Green Bay, and Danny Crossman early yesterday morning, hired to be

special teams coordinator. He's going to be the new Danny Smith. So still a Danny. Still kind of

oldish, 59. has no ties whatsoever to McCarthy.

He'll be coming here from the Dolphins, where he's been that in that role since 2019.

That, by the way, is how special team stuff tends to go. They just move around. It's musical chairs.

It's such a specific occupation.

Jason Simmons was hired as the defensive passing game coordinator slash defensive backs coach.

Two, count them two titles.

For the price of one, if the name sounds familiar, he was actually a DB for the Steelers, an actual, like a player.
