Whatever it was that happened to Patrick Mahomes near the end of that football game Sunday

between the Chiefs and the Bengals, the pick that he threw to Bell almost certainly is going to end, or at least table,

any discussion that anyone might have had at the league level about altering overtime.

Given what had happened the previous week on that same field between the bills and the chiefs,

it was very much a subject worth bringing up.

There is no rationality for having a coin flip be that influential in which team wins a playoff game. Understand, I'm not putting this in the same

bracket as Steelers versus Lions, okay? There is no way that a coin flip can play that much of a role

in the outcome of a single elimination playoff game. So when you say, well,

the bills could have just stopped them. See, just like the Bengals did. Yeah, that's true. And when

you say, well, doesn't defense count? The defense is on the field.
