Jamel Dean should have been a headliner.

And by that I mean, in the old old school sense the actual top blaring bold

headline of that day for the Steelers except for one thing the Steelers also

traded for and signed Michael Pittman.

Now, Pittman plays a position of need, real need.

In fact, one could argue that the Steelers and their fan base have been waiting on Pittman,

or anybody representing a WR22 for several years now.

So Pittman happens.

There's a seventh round peg and a sixth round pig that gets swapped.

And Pittman signs a three-year $59 million contract.

So yes, he very much does get top billing.

Now, Dean signed a three-year contract as well.

His was for $36.75 million.

And guess what?

That's a lot of money in the NFL or anywhere else.

He's 29 years old.
