You're absolutely unequivocally not taking the football away from Fields heading into Las Vegas.

And that doesn't mean that, you know, Russell Wilson is never going to get an opportunity

or Wilson won't be taken seriously if he's a full participant in practice this week.

I just don't see how if you're Mike Tomlin, and my goodness, will this be a unilateral decision?

You can look at that film from that game against the Cowboys and say, ah, that's it, pulling the plug on him.

All done.

When to that point, and arguably including a big chunk of that point,

you were setting yourself up for possibly having,

not just your quarterback of the present, but your quarterback of the future. Because to do something like that, completely disregarding Wilson for the moment, you're going to have to find

some sort of flaw or some sort of significant regression on Fields' part,
