Rookie minicamp took place this weekend on the south side.

It was there covering it Saturday.

That was the day that was open to the media.

Had a chance to communicate face to face with about, I've done an exact count on this, like half of the draft picks.

And just as important, watch them in something of a football setting.

And as one might imagine, my eyes, like I would have think everybody else's eyes were on.

Number 16 for the offense, the only quarterback in the

entire environment. Now, why does that matter? Well, think about it. You had an entire day of football

drills lined up, a pre-planned opportunity for the coaches and all of these kids,

the draft picks and the others who were invited to run through all kinds of drills,

and to have those drills be something that are meaningful and based on real stuff,

and all of them, 100% of them, were entrusted to Aller.

And it was by design.

This was what Mike McCarthy wanted.

He wanted a way to challenge the kid.
