Okay, you remember that recent episode in which I told you that I had original information.

This was from Bradenton, Florida, that the pirates see themselves as still making their main move of the off season between

that point and opening day, meaning it hadn't been made yet.

Somehow, magically, on social media, that's become twisted into my having reported

that it was going to be a major move.

Now, all you have to do is press play on the original show or read the original report

to see, repeating this again, it was that it would be the pirate's main move of the offseason.

We clear on that part now?

The Pirates agreed to terms on a contract with Andrew Heaney, the veteran lefty,

and he'll be coming here pending a, for one year at $5 million.

Haney, for anybody who isn't familiar with his background, is a 33-year-old who's remarkably durable.

Over the past two years, both of those with the Rangers, he's not only won a World Series Championship, but he's made 57 starts and pitched 307 and one-third innings.

That is a lot of ball.

And because he doesn't throw very hard at all, it's plausible that he's just kind of good like that.

His other numbers aren't going to floor anybody, but they're also not awful.

4.28 ERA is pretty much what most of the pirate starters had last year, if you weren't named Skeens.
