Nationals eight, Pirates seven in ten innings yesterday at PNC Park.

That's a split of the four-game series.

And that's going to be an understandably so disappointing to people Pirates had a chance to take it.

Actually, Pirates had several chances to take it.

One could argue that the Pirates had chances to take all four.

And then one could also come back that the Nationals do have some young talent.

They had just swept the Brewers before coming here and splitting this series, so maybe they don't stink as much as they stunk.

The headline from the game is going to be and should be the four errors that the pirates committed.

Four official errors, not like just four random mistakes.

These are four actual errors. Two of them,

throwing, two of them fielding. One could also include the second miscalculation by third

base coach Tony Beasley in about a week where even in the way that Don Kelly described the sequence

that O'Neill Cruz was stopped at the bag when he could have easily scored.

Kelly said of Beasley that he just lost the ball.

Well, he can't keep losing the ball.
