So it turns out that very late last night, Major League Baseball was finally broken.

Mercifully, at long last, broken.

Because the Dodgers signed Blake Snell away from the arch rival giants.

To the tune of, sit down for this, five years and $182 million for a guy who's going to

participate every fifth or sixth day.

And you'd better believe the first thing I did was

go swimming out onto the social media ocean

to see what the reaction to this would be.

And I could not have been more pleasantly surprised.

And I do mean surprised to see here and read the howls of unfairness

coming from, dot, dot, dot, New York, and Chicago, and Boston.

Imagine that.

Imagine feeling that the system overall isn't an equitable one, isn't one that allows every team the chance should they really choose to do so to keep a player that they want or to at least contend for that player's rights.

But no, the exact thing that I'd been talking about on this show, writing about on this site for years,

and I was doing it all alone in a virtual vacuum across this continent as a media member has now

finally come to pass. It was Yankees versus Dodgers in the World Series, Yankees

lose, everyone suddenly looking at the Dodgers for what they've actually been for a few years.
