One omission I regularly make on this program is one I'm going to try to address today.

I keep citing Eric Carlson as the guy who's the most likely to still be traded while also acknowledging the challenge in trading Carlson.

Well, there's actually another player that I'd put either right at that same level or maybe even a little bit above.

Achari's 33 years old.

He'll turn 34 in December.

He is an eager, no, no, no, excessively eager at times.

Shot Blocker, and that has earned him massive respect within the room,

and it had him granted nearly regal status with Mike Sullivan,

who has always held his shot blockers in the highest regard. And I'm going to rewind to when

Kyle Dubas signed Achari out of free agency to a three-year,6 million contract and remind that part of the expectation

was that Achari would offer some offense because he's always offered some offense

pretty much everywhere he's been, notably 20 goals in 66 games for the Panthers six seasons ago.

Well, after two years and 134 games in Pittsburgh, that became just nine goals, like total, nine goals.

And what's more, the rest of his game never really parlayed into anything that the penguins needed much aside from those shot blocks.

So when I look at both the composition and the conceptualization of the roster for this coming fall and winter,

I don't know why he's still here, to be honest.
