My nuts here, or is this Gino thing really not a thing at all?

Much, much, much, much has been made and understandably of Yvgeny Malkin's comments this past Friday in Cranberry at the Penguin's Locker Cleanout.

First off, reiterating that he'd prefer to return to Pittsburgh to continue playing alongside Sidney Crosby and Chris LaTang.

Now I want more, you know.

It's a different emotion, you know, when you play playoffs, you know.

It's a fancy, it's crazy, you know, first game against Philly in the warm-up.

It's probably like 18,000 here and again yeah uh i won't play again for sure and it's special two guys for me you know it's uh flop play together

and yeah we're not happy we lost but we we try to fight every game, you know.

But it's sometimes you're losing.

But again, these two special guys, I hope we play together one more year.

But if not, like, I have great 20 years together and never forget.

And then, when asked if he'd consider playing for a team other than the Penguins in the NHL,

if it came to that, he responded with a single, emphatic, no hesitation, yes.

Now, the latter is the only real new thing that came from that session.

And even then, I can't recall a solitary instance of Gino being asked that question to have that response.

What's more, I mean, think about it.
