When the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup last month,

I was overflowing with praise.

And I haven't been crazy about everything connected to that franchise.

Least of all, some of Rod Brindamore's coaching approaches,

specifically some of the systematic diving that they've engaged in over the years,

notably from Taylor Hall.

But man, they won, and they won big, and they won by sticking to what it is that they do,

whether others like it or not.

And then along comes this clown, Tom Dundon.

He's a rich guy.

Most owners are.

He made his fortune in the auto loan business.

And he made such a massive fortune that he bought not only the hurricanes,

but also the Portland Trailblazers of the National Basketball Association.

No crime. No nothing wrong with any of that. Zero.
