So I've been over several times the contracts of Tristan Jari and Ryan Graves.

I've been over them individually.

I've been over them collectively.

I've been over them from the standpoint of Kyle Dubas' rush to sign them to these

mega deals very early in his tenure.

What I've not done until now is to try to actually solve the two players.

Dubus became GM, he signed Jari for anybody who's lacking the background on this to a five-year

deal worth around 26 million. He signed graves to a six-year deal was worth around the same amount.

Neither of those has turned out well.

And I'm not here to revisit that, and I'm certainly not here to re- bury either of those two.

I am here today to throw out maybe a little bit of a different concept.

Because no matter where the NHL's salary cap is headed,

it's obviously going up quite a bit,

from the current $88 million to $95.5 million for the coming season,

a combined $10 million hit.

And that's what Jari and Graves up to that's still 10% of everything that

you're doing it's 10% and you want to get something for that it's not enough to just say well listen
