Well, now I dare say you have your answer on all fronts.

Totally disregard that St. Louis was able to get the extra point and sustain

its 11 game now, winning streak. Totally immaterial for a couple of reasons. One, to do this

backward, is that Chris LaTang was set off on the worst

slashing call you'll ever see in overtime, which hands the opponent of four-on-three power

play. The conversion rate on those is through the roof. The blues didn't miss.

And that was that.

But going back toward regulation and seeing a couple of,

I thought, really significant events

for this franchise at the risk of overstating it,

one of them, and I'm not even saying this to like try to be funny, was watching a Mike

Sullivan coached team deploy young players, brand new young players in pivotal roles late in this game.

Rutger Magrorty and Ville Coivonen were put out their power play,

a little bit of penalty kill for Magrorty.
