I just spent a few quality days on the road with your favorite hockey team through St. Paul, Minnesota, then Winnipeg, Manitoba.

I feel like I learned an awful lot actually about them.

Some of it related to individuals, but most of it collectively.

And I really, really liked it.

tonight to take on the Maple Leafs and complete the four-game road trip that's currently a one-one and

one. And that included a thorough victory over the wild in St. Paul and a really lousy start

to set up lost Winnipeg on Saturday. And it was in Winnipeg. I'm going to be honest with you here,

that I was more impressed with the intangibles than at any point this season. Let's start with this. This is basic,

and I don't mean to make it sound like a bigger deal than it is. But whether you or I or

anybody else who follows the world's greatest game

believes that the penguins deserve to be 8, 3, and 2,

or that they'll be able to hold it up,

or that they're going to make the Stanley Cup playoffs or any of that stuff,

these guys are in on this, which is to say they're not looking at this as if it's some

stunning happenstance.
