Hear me out on this.

The Flyers had gone 8, 2 and 2 before facing the Penguins.

The Lightning had gone 7 and 1 before facing the penguins.

The stars had gone 195 and 5 on the season before facing the

penguins. That was the three-game trip that the penguins completed yesterday. That

flyers in Philadelphia. They overcame a really sloppy start in Tampa, still rebounded to win it

late on Fgeny Malkin's second goal.

And then yesterday, they probably put together their best overall performance

against one of the NHL's very best teams.

Stars are a comfortable number two behind only the ridiculous avalanche.

And talk about hot with this win, the stars improved their ongoing stretch to 8-0-2,

and I'm going to say it again.

The penguins have been the only bump in any of these roads I've just laid out for you.
