Tristan Jari's gone, and I think he's probably gone for good, in that you don't go through all the pomp and circumstance that the team did yesterday at practice with Mike Sullivan gathering the players around him on the ice to let them know that Jari had been put on waivers, that Jari is going down to

the HAL, that Jari is going to be replaced by Yual L. Blumquist. It was a good move by Sullivan.

I'm sure it was appreciated by the players, even if the players would have already had ways of

finding such a thing out themselves. And then after that, without being requested by anyone in the media,

Kyle Dubus made himself available to the reporters who were on hand in Cranberry,

stood there, answered every question, took the blame not only for hanging on to Jari as long as he did this season,

but even going back to Jari's contract.

This was pretty striking stuff for me, expressing in not exactly demeaning terminology,

that he'd only been on the job for a couple of weeks.

Whenever that situation came about, there wasn't time to expand on any research or

analysis or deep dives.

The market was what it was.

He signed the guy and, you know, oh well.

He also had this to say from his own perspective.

In terms of how it reflects on me, I think this is the job.
