The people who pay to watch NHL games tend to pay a lot to do so.

As such, they're more than entitled to respond to what they see in any way they like.

There was something that they didn't do over this weekend that I really liked.

Steelers and Pirates in the same place that you found this. Rangers 5, Penguins 3 yesterday at

PPG Paints Arena. The day before that, Capitals 8, Penguins 3, same place. I was there covering both of them, and I'm still dizzy from counting all the goals against.

13 goals is a heck of a thing to give up in a span of about 27 hours, and both Alex Nadelcovic and then Yowell Blonquist were absolutely

abysmal. Through both games, regardless of any sort of situations or other circumstances,

the goaltending was god-awful. Nowhere to run or hide from it.

And to the credit of both Nadelcovich and Blumquist, neither of them did.

And how could you?

But as anyone can attest who was inside that building over those two days, those two games,

there couldn't have been a single boo to be heard.

Not one.

And that tells me so much about the hockey fan base in our city.

Because they were really giving it to a certain other goaltender earlier this season.

Why don't they boo Ned?
