Penguins, five Red Wings won last night at PPG Paints Arena in these two games that were the two

biggest games of the season, the ones that most likely would have decided whether or not this team is going to be in or out of the Stanley Cup playoffs,

the Penguin's resounding response was to blow to pieces the Islanders and the Red Wings by a combined score of 13 to 4.

This despite having to overcome some injuries and absences on their end, last night a new one,

Brian Rust being out, with a lower body injury even as Yvgeny Malkin returned after

missing four games, didn't matter, didn't matter at all. This was a blowout. And like a lot of

their best performances over the full season, the scoring was spread all over. Out of five-team goals, only one player, yet Gorsinikov had more than one point with a goal and an assist.

Other goals came from Justin Brazo, Noel O'Chari, Ricard Raquel, and of course, Anthony Mantha.

The significance of this absolutely was not lost on the athletes.

Yeah, I mean, it's massive.

Just a massive four-point, four-point swing for us in terms of the weekend.

Okay, so Stu's a little sharper with stopping pucks than he is with reading calendars.
