Woman unexpectedly welcomed twins in the passenger seat of a moving car after experiencing what she thought were intense stomach pains.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Shelby Campa, Texas-based mom spending time with her family to campsite near the Texas Oklahoma border when she began experiencing stomach pains, which she attributed to some bad nachos.

She said she thought she got a batch of nachos that weren't so good.

But the 30-year-old, who was 31 weeks and two days pregnant, decided just to take a trip to the hospital and make sure everything was going okay.

I was the mom who'd already welcome four children between the ages of four and nine with her husband, Mike, asked her grandmother-in-law Mimi to drive her to the hospital.

She'll be told today that she only expected to go for a quick checkup, then go back to the

campsite, hang out with the fam. I really thought nothing of it. Less than 10 miles into the journey

to the hospital, the discomfort she was dismissing was not bad food poisoning at all, but intensified into contractions.

came out without that. The second one was wrapped in the bubble like, you know, you did. Moments after

she welcomed her twins in the world, Shelby's sister called and asked about the gate code to the campground. Shelby asked me to answer the calls since she had her hands full with the two little ones. It was FaceTime. So I showed her, I had the baby, she said with a laugh. Shortly after Michael, who was unaware that his wife had given birth, called his sister-in-law to check in with her about when she would arrive. When she picked up, she was crying. That's how he found out. Now, despite their surprise delivery, twins both healthy. Kane weighed four pounds, four ounces, Callen into the world, three pounds, 15 ounces. And although they were born eight weeks ahead of their July due date, they did not need any oxygen, which far exceeded the doctor's expectations.
