yourself at home. I hope you never leave. What is YouTube News? You know, it's a question that people

ask me all the time. They go, you got this podcast, YouTube news a podcast. What's it all about? Well, I suppose if I had to sum it up,

I'd say it's kind of like Harry Potter. It's like Harry Potter, except it doesn't have like

the magic or the school or the transphobia. Basically, it's just a thing about a British person,

kind of like Harry Potter. And the British person is me, Benedict, and the show is this.

Yes, hello, hello, everybody. Welcome back to the show. I hope you're sat in a very comfortable

chair or failing that, perhaps atop a rhinoceros, and are ready and raring for an exciting

episode of the show where I sometimes give you YouTube news,

but mainly just yell nonsense about rats or TikTok stars or just do anything I can that isn't talking about YouTuber news.

And you'll be glad to hear there's an episode of Rat, the Story of a Rat, on the Way.

My name is Benedict Townsend. I had a pretty good week. What have I been up to?

Nothing. Nothing at all. I've been sat indoors. Try my best to social distance, all that stuff,

because that's all still happening. And, you know, just thinking about teenagers that are

generally more successful than me, as is the curse of the YouTube newsman.

But for our first story this week, I've got a treat for you. It's a story that's actually about

YouTubers. Probably the rarest thing. That's the real white whale of YouTuber news, an actual story

about YouTubers. This is a YouTube couple named Ali and Sam, and they've launched quite a divisive giveaway.

Their followers are very split on how they feel about this.
