Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on the 1000th and first day of Theresa May's prime ministership. We didn't actually mention that she'd had

a thousand days yesterday because everybody was doing that. We're going to do it on the 1001st day, which doesn't even sound right. We are at Talk Radio,

of course. We're back in the studios. Unfortunately, there is no reason to celebrate, though. She's

off to Germany and France today in the death throes of her leadership. The only good news for her

is that she's actually meeting in Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron, two people

who might actually be more unpopular in their countries than she is in hers.

We will check in with the countdown clock this morning as well to see just how close we are

getting to nothing happening on Friday, which of course is the next day at which we're

supposed to be leaving the European Union.

I think the House of Lords has basically kiboshed that.

First up, though, we're talking about the blame game. It might not be working very well in our

broken political system, but it is now being introduced into divorce legislation. From now on,

no one partner can stop the other from getting a divorce, which at the moment can result in

delays of up to five years. But is it going to make divorce a little bit too easy? 03444-49-1,000.
