Summary

The 49ers moved on and now must face our Seahawks yet again. With each new matchup, the stakes have been higher and higher. We're examining the 49ers reaction to their win in Philly, injury news and updates, and do Vegas oddsmakers know something about this matchup that we don't? As of posting this show, we now know that it will be a 5pm PT start time on Saturday. We discussed whether there would be any added benefit to an evening game. Maybe it was scheduled later to appease Kyle Shanahan since he was already crying about a possible Saturday start time in the Niners postgame press conference in Philly.

Welcome to the Seahawkers podcast.

0:08.5

It is Wild Card Monday still.

0:10.9

We're still enjoying our bye week, though we know our opponent now,

0:14.5

I'm joined by my great buddy, Adam Emerit.

0:16.7

Adam, how was your bye week?

0:18.8

What did you do instead of stressing about Seahawks football?

0:21.7

Oh, I just enjoyed watching the Rams struggle, watching the Niners claw one out, barely by the hair of the chinny chin, and just knowing that none of the teams that I saw over Wild Card weekend really concerned me all that much. So it was beautiful. It was stress-free. It was a wonderful weekend. How about you, man? It was, well, Saturday was way more stressful than it ought to have been for a Seahawks fan who was like, because at the end of the Carolina game, I really wanted Carolina win that game. And they didn't. And then I was, all right, well, then let Green Bay win.

0:54.7

Just let's bring on Green Bay because they were falling apart LaFloor style in the second half. Then that didn't happen. But we'll go into some of the 49ers reactions. We're going to talk about that because obviously they get their W. They are our opponent. We think they might be a bit over their skis. we'll tell you why coming up in a little bit.

1:11.5

But honestly, by the time we turned the page and by the time we got to the Sunday games, the Jacksonville game was very enjoyable. That was a fun game. You know, congrats to the Bills fans, well-played game. Just enjoyed the crap out of that. Last night, I had a, New England giving, I goosted it to giving six and a half. So I was like, New England's not losing this game. It was the only blowout, basically a wild car weekend so far. So that was right as rain. And the, the Niners game, by the time we got through the first, through Saturday, I was completely like numb with, I don't really care. I'm not going to cheer in this game. I'm certainly not going to cheer for the 49ers. But if they win this game, I'm fine with that outcome. And I actually think for our Seahawks, it's a better path and a better outcome, delaying playing the ramps. I just think is straight up better. So before we get to some Niners reactions, which we will do, what do you think about

2:01.5

that? Were you in the same wave around, hey, just keep delaying those Rams fine if we'd never

2:07.6

see them? Well, the procrastinator in me was like, yeah, we could delay that. That'd be fine.

2:13.6

But honestly, after watching the teams all through the weekend i just had myself thinking if we

2:19.7

play the rams like they look completely beatable we play the niners they look beatable we play

2:24.7

the packers they look beatable i honestly was in kind of a zen like state of just like yeah

2:30.6

bring on the next whoever it is. I can't wait.

2:39.1

And it was a fun weekend of football to watch because the games are good, as you pointed out.

2:42.2

And it was just, it was enjoyable playoff football.

2:44.8

I'm looking forward to watching a little Texan Steelers tonight as well.

2:49.4

Yeah, we're going to take you right up to kickoff, maybe a smidge over, but that's a okay.

2:52.9

But never over. Always on time is Ryan 911, our executive live producer coming in with the 999 super chat. Very simple, very efficient.

2:58.7

Go Hawks. Adam, if you could be one thing in life, be efficient, yeah? Oh, absolutely. And Ryan's not only

3:04.4

efficient, but he's brilliant. So put all that together. It's amazing.
