So what if they give you a question about a 24-year-old male?

And you're told that for the past three days, he has been having significant pain in his mid-back.

And, you know, he's also been having fever and they tell you that on physical exam he

has tenderness over spinal process and this person is an IV drug user but they check his blood

and you don't see any local cytosis or anything or anything like that. What should you be thinking about?

So you see tenderness like over a spinous process,

a person has fever,

and you may be told that it's ESR and CRP elevated,

and this is an IV drug user.

What is that?

That's osteomyelitis.

That person has vertebral osteomyelitis. Remember, osteomyelitis is going to be

fever and bone pain. Okay. So now let's talk about osteomyelitis. So think of this podcast as the

clutch osteomyelitis podcast. Again, I'm begging you, make sure you understand osteomyelitis. I'm going to

talk about it. It's actually, believe it or not,
