So what if they give you a question about a 24 year old male?

And you're told that for the past three days,

he has been having significant pain in his mid back and you know he's also been having fever and they tell you that on

physical exam he has tenderness over a spinos process and this person is an IV drug user

but they check his blood and you don't see any locositosis or anything like that.

What should you be thinking about?

So you see tenderness like over a spinous process.

The person has fever and you may be told that it's ASR and CRP elevated and this is an IV drug user.

What is that?

That's osteomyelitis.

That person has vertebral osteomyelitis.

Remember, osteomyelitis is going to be fever and bone pain.

Okay, so now let's talk about osteomyelitis. So think of this podcast as the clutch
