like that. So let's jump right into it. So what if they give you a question about a 31 year old male

and you're told that his BMI is 32 and that he has been queried multiple

times at his place of work because he has been found to be falling asleep. If you think about that,

what should you think? I really hope you're saying, oh, divine, this sounds an awful lot like

obstructive sleep apnea, right?

You're going to see that in a person that is obese, the person snores, the person has a short, fake neck sometimes.

Many times you notice that those people, they feel very tired during the day.

And many times, you're going to notice that people that have

sleep apnea, um, at nights they'll have hypercarbia because they're holding on to CO2.

They're not able to blow off that CO2 very well at night. So they have hypercarbia.

Although usually during the day, they're completely fine.

Although, if you notice that a person has like deep time hypercarbia, deep time hypercapnia,

then, and the person is obese, has the classic sleep apnea symptoms. So you notice that,

wow, this person seems to have hypercapnia during the day. the one thing you absolutely positively want to think about
