Okay, welcome my name is Devine. This is episode 411 of the Devine

0:05.2

Intervention Podcasts and in today's podcast which will hopefully be a short one

0:09.3

we'll be talking about sarcoidosis. This is going to be called the Clutch-Sarcoidosis podcast.

0:14.0

Sarcoid is one of those things that you're very likely going to see on every USMEB exam, on every complex exam.

0:21.2

And it's one of these wonderful things that you can see is like the classic

0:25.7

prototypical topic that falls under multi systems processes and disorders because

0:31.5

literally it affects many body systems.

0:34.0

So if you're wondering, oh, Devine, what are the things that constitute what is tested under

0:38.0

multi systems processes and disorders?

0:41.0

Something like Srakowidos is a perfect example. You're going to see why there are many

0:45.0

integrations you can meet with many many different body systems. So let's jump

0:49.8

right into it. So we know that Sarcachcoidosis, you know, many times, involves granolomous, right? More specifically, non-key-ciating granolomous. Right. And again, we know that we live in an era. We have friends that the NBM is love to do this thing where, again, they'll put what I call derivative answers. I was sharing this with the people that took the test against strategies course yesterday. Derivative answers, right, where it's something that you know, the MBM is just

to put it in a different term. So again, remember, instead of putting

1:18.7

sarcoidosis as an answer, they can put granolomidous long inflammation that's something they can put and again remember they are non-case-saving granolomons

1:27.3

And don't forget if you're you know for those that are taking step one you need to remember that the hallmark of a granoloma is the

1:34.9

presence of giant cells epithelial macrophages right you're going to see that

1:39.7

those macrophages are very important for certain things as we go along. And usually when people have

1:45.7

sarcoidosis, right? Like the two main organs that affect it, don't get me wrong, it can affect

1:51.4

many other things, but in general it affects it affects the lungs the

1:55.2

lungs are the most common organ of involvement in saracoidosis so there are

1:59.2

certain epidemiological related things you may see me mentioned in this podcast or if you've

2:03.7

listened to my other podcasts you've probably seen me mention. These things are not
