In Ephesians, the fourth chapter, we'll begin in verse, let's see, 11.

Verse 11, Ephesians 4, it says, and he gave some apostles and some prophets and some

evangelists and some pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the

ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till

we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect

man, perfect means complete, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, that

we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine

by the

slight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie and wait to deceive.

But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things which is the head, even

Christ, from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,

according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,

maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

We're going to read verse 15 and 16.

Again, I want you to notice in particular what he's saying in these two verses.

But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things which is the head, even Christ,

from whom, from Jesus, the head, the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint

supplieth, according to the effects of working in the measure of every part, makeeth

increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Now, I don't know about you, but the first several times, I read that, I didn't understand

what it meant.

It's something about the way it's worded in the King James. I don't know. It just kind of runs on and you just left scratching
