What's up, Parrish Orpins and Retrogrades?

I bring with me today, Father Mark Goring, one of your favorites for a special show on where we find ourselves

in the world today and in the church. Are we being chastised divinely? So Father Mark,

thank you for being with us on this live stream. It's great being with you, Timothy. Thank you

for having me. That's always an honor getting together with you. I always enjoy talking to you so much. It's funny to say so about a topic like today's. Are we being divinely chastised? I'm a guy. I'm the kind of cat and people mainly want to hear from you in a second, but I'm the kind of cat that I'm, it's not that I'm hedging my bets.

I just, I never know, and the Bible warns against interpreting prophecy.

And neither of us is claiming to do prophecy right now.

We saw what happened with even, you know, Archbishop Vigano's prophecy about Trump winning

the election.

It can be a sticky business.

And so when we're talking about divine chastisement here and now, January 22nd, 2021,

it seems like the evil forces, the dark powers in the world are free.

They've been loosed. And everyone kind of acknowledges this. This is not something that only a small

remnant or a little weird fringe group is talking about at this point. So you and I today are

going to discuss kind of

for and against why this might be a kind of foreseen divine chastisement. There are reasons where it

might be true. There are reasons why it might not be true. What do you say to that approach?

Yeah, I mean, for me, the scripture among many is I just, I just looked it up here.

It's Revelation chapter three, the Lord Jesus says, those whom I love, I reprove and chastise. And to me, any, any parent, I mean, I'm not a

parent, you know, but I have spiritual children. When you love your children, you don't want them to fall into harm.

You don't want them to fall off a cliff.
