Summary

This week D is joined by 4th year med student and President of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), Osose Oboh! They discuss the residency application process, ranking interviews, how the pandemic has affected the process, and the greatest challenge she has faced in med school. Osose discusses her work with SNMA, a non-profit that focuses on diversifying the face of medicine, and how she worked her way up the program to inevitably become President. As a first generation American, Osose discusses the pressure she was under to follow a certain path. But in addition to being a med student, she is truly a creative spirit; a storyteller and photographer who shares with us her journey of embracing all sides of herself and facing life with a “do it all” mentality.

You can connect with Osose on her Instagram @ososee and check out her website Ososeoboh.com!
