They're brothers and sisters, usually when we talk about this topic of

hellfire, it makes people extremely uncomfortable. In fact, a lot of times as

imams, as duaha as students of knowledge we shy away from talking about hellfire in

public because we're afraid that people might run away from Islam we're afraid

that people would say this dean is cruel. We started to heed those

calls that Islam is evil, that Islam is pessimistic, that all this talk about hellfire, you know, and death and all of that is depressing people and it makes it a cynical religion.

But, what we know is true about people and there is no doubt about this and I'm not going to quote some

psychiatrist or some professor from Harvard University. You see it in your own life. People are more

driven by the fear of failure than the dream of success. There is absolutely no

doubt about that.

There are some people that as much as you talk to them about,

hey, look, this is what you can be.

You can be this, you can be that.

You can enjoy the six-figure salary we're talking about in terms of Dunya and those types of things.

You can, you know, you'll be respected in society and all of that good stuff that does not have the

same effect on most people as if you don't pass your school

If you don't get through university if you don't pass this class you might be a bum on the side of the street
