A few years ago, I took a gig working as an after-hour security guard in a big building.

It was the graveyard shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and my station was situated in the middle of a large open plan foyer.

There was a lounge in front of me, an elevator station behind me on the left, and an entrance

to a dining hall on my right. The entire floor is connected by conjoining hallways with my position

at the center, so I had a really good 180 view, if anything were to happen.
