Distraction doesn’t always come in the form of something obvious—it can be hidden in the details. In Week 7 of Death to Distraction, Pastor Michael Todd showed us how focusing too much on the details can pull us away from trusting God’s process.Using the journey of the Israelites in Exodus 13-16, we saw how God led them the long way on purpose, not as punishment, but for development. Sometimes, what feels like a detour is actually part of God’s divine design.

0:50.8	How many people since we started this series have found that in your life there's been areas where it's been hard to focus? Come on. Multiple areas. Come on. Somebody, yeah. Uh-huh. He said two hands.
1:07.7	Anytime God gets a prophetic word for you to do something, it's because he sees the future.
1:13.7	And some of us are coming into new seasons where God is requiring another level of devotion to him.
1:24.0	And what that comes out to being is we're going to have to eliminate distractions and focus
1:30.3	on him. And so today I'm going to read Hebrews 12, 1 and 2, which is our scripture of the
1:36.7	year. And I'm praying that every time that I read this scripture, there will be something
1:40.9	that illuminates in your heart and becomes revelation for you.
1:45.0	As I begin to unfold what God is saying to us today, I want to pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened.
1:54.0	I want to pray that you don't just hear me, you hear him.
1:58.0	I just want to pray that you don't think this is a sermon for 35 to 40 minutes.
2:03.6	You think it's an actual blueprint of how you're supposed to live this week. So can we pray,
2:08.6	Father, I thank you that you are here in this place and you are with every person that is listening,
2:16.6	whether they're listening on rebroadcast or podcast or in the room while somebody else is watching today, Father, we are asking for you to speak.
