We're going to talk about cessationism and why cessationism is a false doctrine.

Now, this is not a salvation issue where we say, if you don't believe in the gifts, you're going to hell, you're not saved.

There are people, I believe, that are saved that don't practice or walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We know that the Bible says to desire spiritual gifts.

It doesn't say that you're not saved if you don't walk in spiritual gifts.

It doesn't say if you don't flow in spiritual gifts, you don't have the Holy Spirit.

But I do believe that it is a false doctrine to say that the gifts have ceased.

So cessationism is someone or a group of people that believe that spiritual gifts have ceased sometime in the first century AD.

They don't deny healing, so they don't say God doesn't heal.

They just don't believe God uses people to perform healings.

So it's kind of like guys, and you guys know this, the whole argument of cessationism and the whole school of thought is,

God is sovereign if god wants

to heal if god wants to deliver if god wants to touch people he can do it but surely god does not

use other people any longer to perform miracles so these things are for the book of acts they've

ceased they're actually even after acts you know like the writer of hebrews they believe by that time the gifts had seized already by then and so a lot of
