| 0:00.0 | Today, we'll talk about all the holiday things happening at Disney World in 2022 that's coming up on this episode 327 of WWE Prep to go. |
| 0:08.0 | Hello and welcome to WWE Prep to go re-talk strategy and ideas for people playing their Disney World trips. I'm your host Shannon Albert from www.prepschool.com. Thank you for being here for episode 327. |
| 0:37.0 | So I know it is mid-October but we are going to start talking about the holidays because as we all know in Disney time mean things are a bit accelerated and we are headed to Disney World in just a few weeks to kick off the holiday season. |
| 0:50.0 | I'll talk more about all the details of what's happening this year in just a minute. |
| 0:54.0 | As always, two pieces of housekeeping. One is that if you want to follow on social media that would be fantastic because we are very active there every single day and would love to interact with you. |
| 1:06.0 | Two is if you want to be a trip report podcast guest to submit that through the SpeakPipe information in the show notes of every single episode you need to leave a voicemail talking about your trip and if it works out with our schedule then my podcast producer will reach out to you to schedule that interview. |
| 1:22.0 | I think that is it for housekeeping. So let's talk about the holidays. Now it's a little bit confusing because Disney says the holidays officially start November 11th but that is not entirely true because the first Mickey's very mayor Christmas party at Magic Kingdom is November 8th and Epcot stuff doesn't start until November 25th. |
| 1:46.0 | So November 11th is kind of I don't know somewhere in the middle but I'm going to get into some of the details of that. |
| 1:52.0 | Not everything will be up on November 11th even though it officially starts but that's especially true at the resort where it takes a little bit of time to get everything in place. |
| 2:02.0 | And the things that the resorts are usually out in place by Thanksgiving and they will start to be put into place in early November. |
| 2:10.0 | As far as the ending of the holiday season the decorations usually start coming down the Monday afternoon years and can take a little while to finish. |
| 2:18.0 | So if you were going in mid-January for instance you may still see some things in the parks or at the resorts. |
| 2:24.0 | As far as busiest times or best times to travel it's kind of tricky because the whole holiday period is busy that didn't used to be the case but it is now the word is out. |
| 2:34.0 | The busiest by far will be the week between Christmas and New Year's but the first two weeks of December are probably the best balance of crowds and having all the decor up. |
| 2:44.0 | Don't expect it to be low crowds because that used to be the case and now you know more and more people are traveling during that time but you will have everything available during that time without the peak holiday crowds of Thanksgiving or Christmas. |
| 2:58.0 | The weekends will be more popular than the weekdays because the locals come out for the holiday things and as far as the weather this time of year it could be anything. |
| 3:07.0 | I have worn coats that were super thick. I have been sweating in 87 degree weather. |
| 3:13.0 | My advice if you're traveling this time of year is to check the forecast the week before you leave so that you know what to pack because it could be any kind of extreme. |
| 3:22.0 | But overall it usually is fairly nice weather wise and you have a less chance of rain you know the rain is such a factor especially in the summer or during hurricane season but this time of year it's less of a factor usually so it's usually a really great time to go. |
| 3:39.0 | Now let's talk specifics about what is actually taking place during this time starting with Magic Kingdom of course with the most popular holiday thing being Mickey's very Merry Christmas party. |
| 3:49.0 | This Christmas party includes exclusive holiday entertainment quote unquote snow snow falling on Main Street complimentary treats special character meeting great so chance to see Santa Claus etc. |
| 4:00.0 | It takes place this year 24 different times between November 8th and the week before Christmas and so if you're going this time of year and want to attend you'll have to buy the ticket they are pricey they do sell out. |
