Jim talks about the Epcot Person of the Century Poll which started 31 years ago

today. Let's get started by bringing in the man who points out that because Big Bird has

front facing eyes, he's the apex predator on Sesame Street. It's Mr. Jim Hill. Jim, how's it going?

I got to interview Carol Spinni once, the gentleman who played Big Bird. He grew up one town over from where I lived in Maynard, Massachusetts. So I met him at New York Comic Con.

Have you guys checked the water supply? That's all I'm saying.

It's worth commenting on that. But he actually talked about how the very first season of

Sesame Street, they actually had to change the placement of Big Bird's eyes because he had the

standard muppity eyes at the point that sort of the half lid. The problem was, you know, just everyone was looking at it. And again, it's

it's 1969, it's like, is Big Bird's stoned? Exactly. In season two, they actually

gave him a rig inside of the head where you could actually open Big Bird's eyes and they did address the issue so you're right forward-facing eyes

But the lids could live so you know if it didn't potentially look like you know he was looking to score
