State lawmakers are considering a pair of public safety bills today. You can weigh in. One bill

would require would-be gun owners to get a permit and complete a safety course in order to buy a firearm in

Washington State. Another proposal would provide funding for local police departments to hire more

officers. It would unlock $100 million in grants that local departments could apply for. This morning's

The Seattle City Council is considering a proposal this morning that would require after-hours

nightclubs to beef up security. Clubs that are open after 2 a.m. would have to employ at least
