So, I do want to say that David is one of our longest-lived respondents to the podcast in email.

Always has something interesting to say, listening day in and day out.

And David, as people will remember, was somebody I turned to every morning as the pandemic was growing

because his daily newsletter, the DCToday.com, would do these really great deep dives into the COVID numbers,

day after day after day about where they were going, where the surges were, what we should make of a lot

of the, of what we were seeing. And I was struck last night as I was going through various,

there are three or four different daily trackers of COVID news. The most obvious or the best

known one is that is that chart that appears on the front, on the, on the homepage of the New

York Times that shows case numbers and death numbers and the, and a percentage of the two week
