We are really excited to share our conversation with Dr. Stephanie Rose Spalding.

But first, we are going to cover a little bit of news, including some horrifying reporting

from the Washington Post that the United States government is cracking down seems to be

the wrong terminology because I don't think there's an actual problem that needs to be

solved here.

But ramping up efforts to examine actual United States citizens birth certificates and refusing

to renew passports, revoking passports, and in some cases, actually detaining United States

citizens because the government believes their birth certificates were fraudulent.

This is all based on a case from the 1990s in which there was shown that some birth attendance

and midwives to babies born along the Texas, Mexico border were actually born in Mexico

and the birth certificates were fraudulent.

They're basically going after anybody who was born via midwife or birth attendant.
