We have our first guest on the podcast today. Her name is Alison Raskin. She is a New York Times bestselling author, A Relationship Coast, coach, and co-host of the new podcast, Starter Marriage. Thank you, Allison, for joining me.

I'm so honored to be your first guest. I am so excited because you're a relationship coach and you have written several books on marriage and relationships.

And I was telling you this earlier.

I'm a huge fan of divorce.

As am I actually.

Yeah, you are?

Oh, definitely.

Okay, perfect.

But the thing is, is for the audience at home.

I don't encourage everyone to get divorce.

I just, I love that divorce

is now on the table and it's like more socially acceptable to talk about. Yeah. I think divorce is

what allows for healthier marriages. Yeah. Just the knowing that that option is there kind of like,

um, let's you move and express and, you know, develop more freely, I feel like.

Yeah, for a really long time, you know, you had to get married in our society where, like,

you were sort of a social pariah if you weren't married or if you were a woman, like,

how are you going to get a credit card or a mortgage on a house?

Like, there were like just these sexist,ist like dividers between being able to be like

an actual full-blown adult if you weren't a married woman. And so now like what's been really

lovely is that marriage has become more of a choice than than a necessity. And my goal for that is that
