Let's turn to First Peter chapter two. First Peter chapter 2. We're just talking about treasures.

Did you enjoy the decorations? We have stuff in the foyer. We have this beautiful display with treasure boxes and all the stack of pearls up here. The ladies from Simply Put have been working, and we just did this just for you.

We just wanted you to know how special all of you are. We dressed the place up. You know,

you get dressed up when company's coming. And so we're glad to have you here tonight because

we just love thinking about treasure and how each one of us are so special to God.

But what is it about searching for hidden treasure that is so fascinating?

Is it just me?

I mean, I enjoy shopping and consignment stores and antique shops or searching online

because I love finding a treasure.

I feel like if I got a bargain, I'm happy.

It's even the main plot of many of my favorite movies that Justin I like to watch.

I'm sure you've heard of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

It's about an archaeologist that is recruited by the

U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before Adolf Hitler's agents find it and do the

wrong things with it. It's a great movie. And there's another one called the Count of Monte

Crystal. It's one of my favorite ones, favorite ones as well. And it's about a wrongly accused

man that escapes from prison and discovers a long-lost treasure of Spada. And he uses it to take

revenge on those that put him in prison. Well, it went pretty good for a while. I'm not going to tell you the whole plot in case you haven't seen it.

And then there's national treasure.
