I have a few special announcements that I want to make before we dive into today's topic. The first one being, oh my goodness, y'all have been showing so much support here on the YouTube element, the video portion of the podcast.

We're almost at a thousand subscribers on the YouTube channel. We literally started that just a few weeks ago and it's been really cool to see so many of you guys tuning in and subscribing and following that.

Unless you're like subscribed to the podcast audio portion, but I just want to welcome all the new people who are chiming in for the first time in listening.

I've been bouncing around on a few other podcasts, so maybe you're here because of me guessing on somebody else's podcast or even just viewing me on my own social media, Kirby is a boss on YouTube and Scram and TikTok.

However, it is that you found yourself over here. I'm glad that you are and I pray that this episode as we dive back into our Galatian series really is a blessing.

I've kind of taken a break from that just because I've had so many incredible friends on and guests on and the Lord has really just put specific words on my own heart that I felt called to share at that moment in time.

But we're jumping back into the Galatian series, as I just said, and you can go back and you can watch it. There's a playlist on the YouTube channel where you can just scroll through your audio and figure out when that episode first dropped and you can follow along.

I mean, the episodes they're chronologically, they build on top of one another. So if you want that context, if you want to know what we're talking about, if you're a little lost with some of the things that I'm saying, go tune into that and then cue this episode back up.

But we are going to be in Galatians chapter three versus 23 through 29 and I'm going to be reading out of the ESV translation. So let's start there and then we'll break it down. All right.

Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. So then the law was our guardian until Christ came in order that we might be justified by faith.

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For in Christ Jesus, you are all sons of God through faith.

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither June or Greek. There is neither slave nor free. There is no male and female.

For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring. Heirs according to the promise.

We're going to go verse by verse. We're going to break this down. It's only a few verses. So we'll see how quick I get through this. Y'all know that your girl can talk hence the podcast.

But starting in verse 23, it talks about how before faith came, we were held captive under the law. What does this mean? What is this faith? So before faith came is alluding to the faith that we have in Jesus.

We know that when we read the book of Ephesians in chapter 3, it talks about it is by grace through faith that we have been saved.
