it has to do with your overarching purpose in life.

It is impossible for us to be the men and the women that God designed us to be in relationship with him,

apart from having a consistent devotional habit.

I doesn't think it can happen.

We need him.

Who is your best friend?

And how did you become friends?

I don't have to know the answer to all of those questions to know one thing.

You spent quite a bit of time together. God created us to be in relationship to each other and to be in covenant relationship with him. Now, did I just change subjects?

No. Because if we don't spend time with God like we do our best friends on a regular basis,

we're not truly living our lives according to our purpose.

Because we're not really experiencing that love relationship with God.

Of all the good habits you could form in 2023, none is more important than spending time alone with God in prayer and in his word.
