God, I'll rally around you till the last day of that test.

When our career requires long hours and too much overtime, fatigue can be our worst enemy.

After days, months and even years of pushing too hard, we begin to show the tell-tale signs

of burnout.

Today, on Insight for Living, Chuck's Windall continues his study in the book of Nehemiah.

It's called Hand Me Another Brick.

As we move into Nehemiah chapter 4, we read about the workers who were reconstructing

the wall around Jerusalem.

They were growing restless, and their zeal for completing the project was waning.

Chuck titled his message Discouragement, Its Causes and Cure.

When you get to Nehemiah 4, you find that it's Judah of all the peoples who were bringing

the words of discouragement to the group.

Not only were they coming from Judah, but verse 12 tells us something else, another source

of discouragement.

It came about when the Jews who lived near them, near whom, near the enemy.

The ones who said in verse 11, we will kill them.

We will put a stop to the work.

Well, there were Jews who lived near that information, and they kept having it bum-barred

their ears day after day.
