True to form, the plan on Liberation Day for Donald Trump was to deliver the speech,

declaring the memorable slogans that would be known about Liberation Day and the new

tariff policy of the United States and would be his

secretaries, his cabinet members that would go out and not only defend the policy, but prop

it up and make it appear that they were the masterminds behind it, which of course they were.

However, all kinds of video clips surfacing this week showed Donald Trump 10, 20, 30 years ago,

talking about the United States getting ripped off by other countries, in the tariff system,

in trade, in manufacturing, leaving for overseas.

This is something as a businessman that Donald Trump has watched happen over decades and

couldn't wait for the opportunity to change change to make this better for the United States

of America. And he believes he has done that. Most of us are not probably knowledgeable enough

to know on these things, to know exactly how this will work out, whether it will work.

There are also all kinds of speeches that Ronald Reagan gave back in the 80s against this

sort of move, saying that if you do this, American companies will become fat and lazy

because they'll have it so easy and make so much money. They will lose innovation and have such a

big marketplace making profits that that's all they'll see,

workers will get slower and dumber. There are people that believe that. Maybe that's the

case. But wouldn't it be nice if we had a decade or so where business and the economy are so great
