Summary

The New Orleans Saints got troubling news over the weekend when it was reported that Derek Carr may miss the entire 2025 season with lingering shoulder injury. If this is the case, the Saints need to make a move up for Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft because the need is too obvious for them to sit around. The Cleveland Browns brought back Joe Flacco, but it should not stop them from drafting a quarterback relatively high, just not at the second pick. This also means Kirk Cousins is likely trapped in Atlanta because he won't accept his fate. Finally, the New York Jets trust Justin Fields too much, but maybe they don't and Sanders is in play for them with the seventh pick. The Pittsburgh Steelers should be interested in a passer early in the draft as well.
