Welcome to Inside the Hive. I am your host Nick Bilton. So I just want to

apologize in advance because I sound very raspy and that's because I'm just

getting over a bout of bronchitis.

It will be worth listening to a voice that sounds a little like sandpaper because my guest

this week is a fascinating individual who has directed some of the biggest documentaries in the last two, three decades.

His name is Errol Morris. He won an Academy Award for the Fog of War. He did the very famous film, The Thin Blue Line, the Act of Killing. We're

going to get into a little bit of all of those, but we're really going to talk

today about his new movie, American Darma, which looks at Stephen Bannon and spends quite a lot of time with him

in relation to how he has driven this kind of white nationalist movement throughout

the country the rise of Trump all the things that we're seeing happening today in the world

as a result of the last few years. I watched the documentary this week and it was

truly fascinating. It made me think that Steve Bannon is a complete

psychopath and so I'm very excited to hear if Errol thinks the same thing and we're

going to probably bounce around to a few other topics including Elizabeth Holmes. So without further ado,
