and share an episode from one of my favorite podcasts still going.

It's called Death, Sex, and Money,

hosted by the inimitable Anna Sale.

Full disclosure, she's also been a mentor of mine.

If you haven't heard the show before, it's a podcast from Slate in which Anna explores the big questions and hard choices that are often left out of polite conversations.

She gets to the heart of some of the hardest topics for most of us to talk about, death, sex, and money.

Since the show began in May of 2014, Sale has built a career out of going there.

Going to those vulnerable places and conversations, most interview programs try not to go to.

Obviously, we're no stranger to those places on this podcast,

but a lot of what we have done on this show is inspired by what Anna started doing more than a decade ago.

Her work has been, as I said, a guiding light for us,

starting with an episode featuring the great late Bill Withers. It's called How to Be a Man, and without that episode, I don't think Talk Easy would be what it is today.
