If you're going to send your directs out to work in the organization, it might be helpful for them to understand what their

natural tendencies are and be able to work with different types of folks all across the organization.

Effective relationships might be a great way for them

to become more effective at communicating with other people.

You know, sometimes your directs have to work across organizational boundaries for many of them though

they don't have the experience in doing so and or they don't have strong relationships built where they need them to be right and so the question is how can you as a manager how can you help?

Let's say learn.

Yeah, I had a boss and I know it sounds corny, but I had a boss who was going to send me out to do that, and he said,

you need a passport.

I'm like, what?

And then he proceeded to describe this process, which I've taught hundreds of people,

and it works fabulously.
